Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII3 SMPN 19 Pekanbaru
This research was based on the low mathematics learning
outcomes of class VIII3 students of SMPN 19 Pekanbaru with the Minimum
Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 72. The number of students that the researchers
observed in class VIII3 were 30 students, only 12 students who achieved KKM with
a mastery percentage of 40%. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes
and improve the teaching and learning process. This research is a classroom action
research with 2 research cycles, where each cycle has four stages, namely planning,
implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects studied were 30 class VIII3
students of SMPN 19 Pekanbaru for the 2022/2023 academic year. This study used
instruments namely students' daily mathematics tests and observation sheets of
teacher and student activities. Observation sheets were analyzed descriptively
qualitatively, while students' mathematics tests were analyzed descriptively
quantitatively. Based on the results of data analysis, information was obtained that
the learning process was getting better, and students mathematics learning
outcomes had increased. It can be concluded that the application of the Problem
Based Learning model can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of SMPN
19 Pekanbaru students for the 2022/2023 academic year.
