Kombinasi Abu Tempurung Kelapa Dan Abu Serbuk Kayu Sebagai Filler Pada Campuran Lataston Lapis Aus (Hrs-Wc)
ABSTRACT
Lataston is a type of pavement used in Indonesia. Lataston is usually used for roads with moderate traffic load. The Lataston pavement mix consists of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, asphalt and filler. Coconut shell ash and sawdust ash are materials that are readily available and easy to obtain. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of Marshall characteristics in a mixture of wear-layer lataston (HRS-WC) with coconut shell ash and sawdust as fillers. The proportions of coconut shell ash and sawdust used in this study were 100% : 0%, 25% : 75%, 50% : 50%, 75% : 25%, 0% : 100%. Based on variations in asphalt content and filler variations to obtain KAO values, the number of specimens required is 75 samples. After obtaining the optimal asphalt content value for each filler variations, the Marshall test was carried out to obtain the stability value and the flow value. The test results using the Marshall tool showed that the HRS-WC mixture with a filler percentage of 25% coconut shell ash and 75% sawdust had the highest stability value of 1,071.9 kg. Other Marshall characteristic values such as flow, VIM, VMA, VFA, and MQ have also met the General Specifications of Bina Marga 2018 Revision 2 (2020).
