The problem in this research is the lack of maximum students at SMP Negeri 1
Kempas in using technological media in online teaching and learning activities.
The aim of this study was to determine the level of effectiveness of online distance
learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in the field of health sports physical
education (PJOK) for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kempas Indragiri Hilir.
The population in this study consisted of class VII students using a purposive
sampling technique with a total of 70 students. The instrument used in this study is
the use of a questionnaire sheet. Data collection techniques in this study utilized
questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use %
percentage. Based on the description of the results of the study and the discussion
of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the use of information
technology in distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 1
Kempas was considered effective, namely as much as 50 students (71.43%) in
terms of material comprehension, application mastery and understanding of the
material.
