Analisis Kinerja Fotovoltaik Termal Dengan Pemanas Air Tipe Pasif
ABSTRACT
Photovoltaic (PV) is a technology that can convert sunlight into electricity, while photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) is a technology that can convert sunlight into electricity and heat. In this study the authors compared the performance between the two systems namely PV and PV/T. In the PV/T system, an aluminum plate is added as an absorber, and uses copper pipes as a heat sink, and the whole system is thermally insulated to minimize wasted heat. The purpose of this study is to look at the performance of the two systems including knowing the comparison of the efficiency of the electricity produced by the two systems, as well as knowing the thermal efficiency produced by the photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) system. The results of the performance analysis on both systems show that the electricity efficiency of the PV system is 16.66%, while the electricity efficiency of the PV/T system is 15.82%. For the thermal efficiency produced by the PV/T system of 23.49%, thus the total overall efficiency for the PV/T system is 39.31%.
