Simulasi Fluktuasi Muka Air Sungai Terhadap Elevasi Muka Air Di Saluran Irigasi (Studi Kasus: Selat Guntung Kabupaten Siak)
ABSTRACT
Selat Guntung is a village located on the outskirts of the Siak river with a rainfed agricultural system, where the main source of agricultural water comes from rainfall and depends on rainfall so that during the dry season agricultural rice fields experience a shortage of water which affects crop production. The irrigation of the Selat Guntung is affected by fluctuations in the water level of the Siak River which can be used as a water reservoir. This research was conducted to overcome the shortage of irrigation water in the dry season. The analysis carried out in this study was the analysis of the profile of the irrigation water surface using the method Direct Step and application of HEC-RAS, operation of floodgates, and analysis of irrigation water availability. The results of the analysis using the HEC-RAS application show that the water flow entering the canal is 60 liters/second. Processing of water level fluctuation data with an average depth of water is 1,24 m so that the volume of water obtained is 7,180.36 m3 much smaller than the need for irrigation water, namely 10.752,00 m3. So to meet the water needs can be done by dividing the area of the paddy fields into two parts and giving water is done in a rotating system for one pair of each part of the paddy fields. Another alternative is to enlarge the dimensions or extend the irrigation channels. The operation of the floodgates is carried out during the dry season where the floodgates are opened when fluctuations in the water level begin to rise and close the floodgates when fluctuations in the water level begin to fall.
