ABSTRACT
This research was conducted at the Tampan Psychiatric Hospital, Riau Province. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research methodology to analyze data collected through questionnaires and observations with the aim of knowing the effect of supervision and communication on job satisfaction of non-PNS nurses at the Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Province. Supervision and Communication are designated as independent variables while Job Satisfaction is defined as the dependent variable. Sources of data in this study came from primary data obtained from questionnaires as well as secondary data in the form of ready-made data regarding the object of research. The total population in this study were 76 non-PNS nurses at the RSJT. The sample in this study amounted to 76 respondents taken from the entire population or saturated sample. In this study the findings of respondents' responses were measured using the Likert scale approach, and tested with the SPSS 29 program. The tests to be used included validity tests, reliability tests, simple and multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination tests, simultaneous tests and partial tests. The results showed that the control variable (X1) partially had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Y). Communication variable (X2) partially has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Y) and simultaneously supervision (X1) and communication (X2) have an effect on job satisfaction (Y).
