Perancangan Bodi Mobil Hemat Energi Tipe Urban Concept Generasi Ii
ABSTRACT
When designing a car, it is very important to pay attention to the construction and design of the vehicle. This is useful for obtaining user safety and comfort in driving a car. In this study the design of the body of the car is to have Aerodynamic value and Drag Coefficient as small as possible. Coefficient Drag(Cd) which is large in a vehicle has a considerable influence on efficiency or performance of a vehicle, especially in cars with a Cd value or a large Drag Coefficient will greatly affect the rate of the vehicle. this is useful for minimizing fuel used, and allows a vehicle to reduce the friction force caused by air when driving. To get the Cd value (Coefficient Drag) use a software CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic). Software used is ANSYS 2020 R1. From the aerodynamic simulation results on the four alternative car bodies carried out in this study, the Cd (Coefficient Drag) value was the smallest in the second car body model, namely Coefficient Drag(Cd) = 0.34.
