ABSTRACT
Purnama beach is located in Purnama Village Dumai City, Riau. Coastal areas have problems that often occurs, one of them is erosion, Efforts That’s can be made in overcoming coastel erosion are by making beach safety buildings. In order for a beach safety buildings to function optimally, it is necessary to knows its effectiveness and performance. This study aims to find information on the physical condition of buildings in the form of buildings condition index values and determine the performance of buildings functions. So that it can determine the final decision for the management of beach buildings. This research is conduct by analyzing the physical condition of coastal buildings and evaluating the performance index of coastal buildings based on their physical condition, which consists of 2 section of 8 segments with each section consisting of 4 segments. Based on the survey and research conducted, the research findings indicate that the coastal protection structurs or Revetmens, in terms of their physical condition, are still relatively good. However, there are some sections where the crest and outer body conditions are irregular, resulting in the armor layers not interlocking. The building condition index of Revetment section 1A is 2,4 (quite good), section 1B is 2,4 (quite good), section 1C is 2,2 (quite good), section 1D is 2,2 (quite good), in section 2A is 2,3 (quite good), section 2B is 3,4 (need abandonment), section 2C is 2,1 (quite good), section 2D is 2,2 (quite good). So the recommended action for the Revetment section 1 is monitoring. For the Revetment section 2,, there is one segment section 2B with recommended action for maintenance.
