Desain Dan Simulasi Buck Converter Sebagai System Solar Charging Menggunakan Kontrol Pid
ABSTRACT The buck converter functions to control the DC voltage by making the output voltage smaller than the input voltage. The use of buck conveter has problems with the output voltage, so a control system is needed that is able to stabilize the output voltage of the buck converter. The purpose of the thesis is to design and simulate a buck converter DC-DC solar charger system using PID control, so as to maintain the voltage output at the setpoint. The MPPT algorithm is Perturb and Observe, the provisionto control the duty cycle is PID. The voltage and current produced by solar panels are greatly influenced by solar radiation, when the radiation received is constant, the voltage and current produced by solar panels are also constant, and vice versa. MPPT and PID control can regulate the voltage and current to be flowed to the battery so as to maximize the battery charging process. After testing the variation of solar radiation received by solar panels, when the radiation of 1000 W / m² the voltage of the solar panel is 35.5 V with the output buck converter produces a voltage of 13.8 V while when the radiation of 100 W / m² the solar panel produces a voltage of 28 V with the output buck converter produces a voltage of 13.2 V.
