Peranan Instruktur Dalam Proses Pembelajaran Keterampilan Menjahit Pada Lembaga Kursus Dan Pelatihan (LKP) Menjahit Sister’s Di Kelurahan Air Jamban Kecamatan Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis

The formulation of the problem in this study is how the Instructor's Role in the Learning Process of Sewing Skills at the Sister's Sewing Course and Training Institute (LKP) in Air Jamban Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. The purpose of this study was to describe the role of instructors in the learning process of sewing skills at the Sister's Sewing Course and Training Institute (LKP) in Air Jamban Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency.
This research is a type of qualitative research with qualitative descriptive methods. This research was conducted at the Sister's Sewing Course and Training Institution which involved 6 (six) informants as research subjects, including 3 instructor informants and 3 learning citizen informants. Data collection techniques in this research are document techniques, observation, and interviews. While the analysis in the research includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation.
Based on data analysis and discussion, this study can be concluded that, the role of the instructor in the learning process of sewing skills at the Sister's sewing LKP which can be seen from 1) the role of the instructor as a learning resource with the decree of instructor appointment, sewing

competency certificate so that the instructor can be declared competent and master the sewing material. 2) the instructor's role as a facilitator by providing adequate facilities, creating a comfortable and pleasant learning atmosphere, and providing convenience for learning citizens. 3) The instructor's role as a director by building an open attitude and communication with learning citizens. 4) Instructor as a motivator by conveying motivation to learners directly in verbal form. However, in the learning process, the instructor only provides motivation when the learners become bored and begin to rarely attend the training schedule and there is no cooperation through group discussions and exchange of ideas and opinions between the learners.
5) Instructors who have a role as mediators by providing solutions to learning citizens who do not understand the material delivered by instructors personally and instructors have not maximally utilized the media available at LKP Sewing Sister's, such as projectors, whiteboards, and sculpture props. Instructors still use guidebooks and modules available at Sister's Sewing Workshop. 6) Instructors who have a role as an organizer by arranging a sewing learning schedule tailored to the needs of learning citizens. However, the method used by the instructor is not optimal because it involves the learning community actively in the learning process, and the learning community only relies on material from the instructor, causing the learning community to get bored quickly. 7) Instructors who have a role as evaluators by carrying out evaluations in the form of formative evaluations carried out at the beginning of learning, while learning is running, and summative evaluations carried out at the end of learning, evaluating the learning outcomes of learning citizens assessed from the results of practical exercises and sewing assignment exercises for learning citizens in Sister's Sewing LKP.
