(Studi Kasus: Jalan Hr. Soebrantas Depan Pasar Simpang Baru Panam)
ABSTRACT
The high level of side obstacles due to market activities is one of the causes of disruption to the smooth flow of traffic on the HR. Soebrantas road in front of Pasar Simpang Baru Panam. One of them is on-street parking activity. On-street parking can reduce the effective road width and road capacity, which will affect the performance of the road section. From the analysis, it is found that in road conditions without on-street parking, the level of service of the road section is in category A with a degree of saturation value of 0.56. After simulating the parking angle arrangement, the level of service is obtained at an angle of 0⁰ during peak hours, which is in the B category. While at angles of 30⁰, 45⁰, and 90⁰, the level of service of the road is in category C and for an angle of 60⁰ is in category D. Based on considerations from various aspects, the most suitable parking angle to be used at this location is 45⁰. The use of this angle has met the minimum criteria for secondary collector roads which are at level of service C with traffic flow still relatively stable and crowded road conditions. The parking index of this angle is 0.71, it means that the available parking spaces has been able to meet the highest parking demand during the observation. In addition, the use of this angle also has advantages over the 30⁰ angle, where in this condition it can accommodate more parking vehicles and has a higher level of ease and comfort of parking than the 90⁰ angle.
