Abstract
The problem in this study was the attention and support of parents, which resulted in a lack of motivation to study online for class IX students at SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between parental support and students' learning motivation when attending physical education classes during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sampling technique was targeted sampling in class IX students from SMA Negeri 13 Pekanbaru who met the criteria set by the investigator. The instrument used in this study was the use of a questionnaire completed by students, teachers and parents. Based on the results and discussion above, this study concludes that there is a relationship between parental support and students' learning motivation to participate in physical education during the Covid-19 pandemic in class XI SMA Negeri 13 Pekanbaru, because a number of 0.567 is obtained with an rtable value of 0.349 so that the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
