Identifikasi Serangga Sebagai Predator Dalam Budidaya Keluarga Madu Lebah Di Hutan Himbo Pomuan Adat Kecamatan Kampa Kabupaten Kampar
The success of kelulut honey bee cultivation is based on food supply, bee colonies and natural enemies. One of the natural enemies is predators, which are carnivorous or prey animals that generally often attack other animals. The existence of predator species that can harm kelulut honey bees is one of them from insects. The presence of these predators certainly reduces bee production and causes losses in bee cultivation. In connection with that, a study was conducted to determine the types of insects that have the potential as predators or predators of kelulut honey bees in the Ghimbo Pomuan Customary Forest, Kampa Subdistrict, Kampar District. This study used a purposive sampling method using sweep net trap, pitfall trap and hand collecting. Predator specimens were identified based on morphological characters including head (antennae, eyes, mouth type), thorax (legs, wings), and abdomen. The results showed that 9 species were found that belonged to 2 orders namely Odonata and Hymenoptera with, 5 species from Libellulidae namely Neurothemis ramburii, Orthetrum sabina, Pantala flavescens, Orthetrum crisis, Rhodothemis rufa and 4 species of Formicidae namely Polyrhachis sp, Odontoponera denticulata, Dinomyrmex gigas, Odontomachus sp.
