Profil Pasien Fraktur Maksilofasial Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Tahun 2020—2022
Maxillofacial is a very important element for humans due to it’s aestheticness and functional components. Maxillofacial fractures is a common form of hard tissue trauma to the face. This fracture can affect the frontal, orbital, nasal, zygoma, maxilla and mandible bones. Utilising a cross-sectional approach, this descriptive analytical study examines the patient profile for maxillofacial fractures at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital in Riau Province for the years 2020–2022, as well as the associations between patient characteristics and severity and complications. The inclusion criteria for this study were met by 253 cases of maxillofacial fractures. Of the 253 patients, 89 patients were 11—20 years old (35.2%), 206 male
patients (81.4%), 59 patients were students (23.3%), 200 cases (79.1%) with etiology of traffic accidents, 138 cases single fracture (54.5%), 143 fractures maxillary (30.3%), 136 patients (53.8%) with length of stay ≤1 week and there were 21 patients (83%) with complications. There was no significant relationship between age (p=0.140), gender (p=0.652), and fracture etiology (p=0.095), but there was a relations between severity and complications (p=0.039).
