Perancangan Pusat Kebudayaan Bengkalis Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Berkelanjutan
A study of implementation regarding the meaning of "culture" which is taken from the Sanskrit word buddhi, the plural form of the word buddhi, which means reason or mind. The Cultural Center is a medium or place that is used as a forum with the aim of fostering, controlling, designing and developing by promoting various kinds of cultural activities in the region itself, especially in Bengkalis which is the object of designing the cultural center. This design uses a Sustainable Architecture approach, which is a design mindset with a sustainable reference which indirectly results in a continuous recycling process which aims to minimize the occurrence of excessive things. Proper use of natural resources must be utilized as appropriate, so that this will trigger balance and continuity between the building and the natural surroundings.
The design of the Bengkalis Cultural Center is an embodiment of the process of preserving various cultural elements and aspects in the Bengkalis area. Providing a platform that aims to accommodate various kinds of activities related to art and its fans in the form of providing performance facilities and art galleries. Bengkalis Regency has a diversity of Malay arts which are divided into several types of arts, namely dance, singing, architecture, music, fine arts, theater arts, pantun, gurindam and poetry. Despite everything, cultural activities are still maintained today, with the arts sector as an accompaniment.
