The elderly care home is a residence for seniors that provides services and care to facilitate their daily lives, such as feeding, dressing, and bathing. Many people regret and feel guilty about leaving their elderly family members there, yet elderly care homes aren't always associated with the somber aspects of aging. Seniors in these homes can also have companionship and socialize with others in the same phase of life. These homes often become the choice for seniors who cannot be cared for at home, perhaps because their relatives work or cannot adequately provide care. Moreover, they cater to seniors with specific needs, such as those with conditions like stroke, heart disease, dementia, and diabetes. Therefore, these homes can serve as an alternative for caring for the elderly by considering their behavioral patterns and the surrounding environment. Behavioral architecture is an architectural approach guided by principles that assist seniors in living and fulfilling their needs. Consequently, designing elderly care homes using a behavioral architecture approach can offer a solution to the associated challenges and issues.
