Analisis Kebutuhan Ruang Parkir Dan Optimalisasi Lahan Parkir Di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Riau
Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau as an education center has certainly provided parking facilities for the academic community. Faculty of Engineering UR has undergone an increase in the number of academic communities starting from the addition of new departments and study programs. The increase in the number causes inadequate parking facilities, this is evidenced by problems with available parking facilities such as vehicles that park outside the available parking lots and vehicles that park irregularly. This study aims to look at the characteristics of parking spaces available for later optimization efforts and obtain modeling to calculate the parking needs of motorcycles and lightweight vehicles in Faculty of Engineering UR. The results of the analysis of the characteristics of car parking there is a parking index of 130.59% this indicates that the need for parking exceeds normal capacity, for motorcycles maximum parking index of 78.94% this indicates that adequate parking facilities, but the reality in the field is still the presence of vehicles parked outside the space provided. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that choosing a parking location close to the place of activity was the most chosen factor by respondents. Based on the analysis results using statistical analysis applications obtained linear regression equation for modeling the need for motorcycle parking is Y = -29.730 + 0.593 X1 + 6.129 X8 and for linear regression equation for modeling the need for car parking is using the equation Y = -9,128 + 0,068 X4 + 0,422 X8. In 2022 the need for motorcycle parking is 3.485 PSU (Parking Space Unit) and for cars is 107 PSU. Based on the results of forecasting the growth of the number of academic community in 2027 the need for motorcycle parking is 4.031 PSU and for cars is 126 PSU. Optimization that can be done to reduce the problem of Faculty of Engineering UR parking lots is to add new parking lots on vacant land that is still available.
