Perancangan Terminal Penumpang Pelabuhan Internasional Tanjungbalai Karimun Dengan Pendekatan Eco-Technology Architecture
One of the islands within the territory of the Republic of Indonesia is Tanjungbalai Karimun Island with an area of ± 17.73 km2 (17,730 Ha). Tanjungbalai Karimun is one of the islands in the Riau Islands group. . In the draft RPJMD for Riau Islands Province, regional development in Karimun district is aimed at increasing the added value and competitiveness of superior commodities, one of which is in the tourism industry by focusing on tourism development by utilizing free port facilities. As an area that has the potential to be visited by many people, the importance of providing a port terminal that can support the continuity of port activities is a step to provide comfort for users. One of the supporting facilities that can provide a sense of comfort to passengers is a passenger terminal with a large capacity, safe, comfortable, spacious, clean, cool, attractive and also complete with facilities. In designing the International Ferry Terminal in Tanjungbalai Karimun, the Eco-Technology Architecture approach will be used, namely a design approach that links and harmonizes the environment and is based on concern for global environmental conservation with an emphasis on energy efficiency, land use and effective waste management in an architectural setting.
