Pengaruh Kualifikasi Akademik Dan Kompetensi Profesional Terhadap Pengembangan Karier Guru Sd Negeri Tembilahan Hulu Di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir

Career development is personal improvements made by a person to achieve a career plan. Teachers' academic qualifications reflect the abilities required for teachers to carry out duties as educators at the level, type and unit of education or subjects they take. Teachers as a profession need to have competencies that are in accordance with their profession, one of which is professional competence. The specific purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship to determine the positive and significant effect of the principal's academic qualifications on the career development of teachers at SDN Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir Regency, to determine the positive and significant effect of professional competence on the career development of teachers at SDN Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir Regency and to to know the positive and significant influence of academic and professional qualifications of teachers on the career development of teachers at SDN Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir Regency.
This research was conducted in the Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, where there are 16 public elementary schools. when the research was carried out from January to August 2023. The sample in this study was 108 teachers. The instrument used in this research is a research questionnaire.
Based on the first hypothesis test, it can be seen that the significance value of Sig. (2-tailed) teacher's academic qualifications on teacher career development is sig 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the teacher's academic qualification variable on teacher career development. In other words, the better the teacher's academic qualifications, the better the career development of SD Negeri Tembilahan Hulu teachers. The results of the second hypothesis test can be seen that the significance value of Sig. (2-tailed): known value of Sig. (2-tailed) teacher professional competence on teacher career development is sig 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the teacher's professional competency variable on teacher career development. In other words, the higher the value of the teacher's professional competence (X2), the higher the career development of SD Negeri Tembilahan Hulu teachers.
