Penentuan Resistivitas Menggunakan Geolistrik Pada Tanah Berbutir Halus Dengan Variasi Kadar Air
All ofmaterial in the earth has specific restivity value, so that it can be
measured with using Geoelectrical equipment. Geoelectrical method uses electric
resistivity variation based on the measurement ofpotentials differentiation caused
ofthe current injected into the earth. Sofar the value ofmaterial resistivity still
known in general, like sand: 10 -5000 ohm.m, sand saturated: 1 -1750 ohm.m,
clay swamp watersaturated: 0,12 — 0,20 ohm.m, hard stone > 600 ohm.m.
The aim of the research was to obtain the resistivity value of each
classified offine grained, they are clay low plasticity (CL), clay high plasticity
(CH), mud low plasticity (ML), mud high plasticity (MH) with water content
variation untilsaturated condition.
In this research the resistivity value of each kind ofsoil at saturated
condition can be seen from result of experiment, from clay low plasticity (CL)
resistivity is 90 ohm.m, clay high plasticity (CH) resistivity is 2 ohm.m, mud low
plasticity (ML) resistivity is 20 ohm.m, mud high plasticity (MH) resistivity is 0,7
ohm.m. Based on the resulted ofresistivity offine grained in laboratory using soil
resistance meter and soil box show that, the higher water content and degree of
saturation cause the resistivity value was lower, opposite of it, if the water
content and degree saturation was lower itwiil made the higher resistivity value.
