Kecepatan Renang Ikan Pantau (Rasbora Bornensis) Dalam Tanki Berarus (Flume Tank) Dan Berenang Bebas (Free Swimming)
The method used was experimental method in the laboratory. The fish samples used amounted to 50 fish with a size of 5-7 cm (average size 6.00 cm). with a standard deviation value of ± 0.7642 cm. The results showed that the normal swimming speed of Pantau fish. The sustained swimming speed of pantau fish is less than 2.70 BL/second. While the maximum sustained speed produced by monitor fish is 2.70 BL / sec. prolonged speed of monitor fish is between 2.70 - 6.51 BL / sec, where monitor fish are able to swim for 6 - 12000 seconds continuously without stopping until the fish is exhausted and unable to swim again. While the burst swimming speed produced by monitor fish is 6.51 Bl/second. The monitor fish is not able to last long at the current speed of 50 Hz frequency (44.25 cm/second) which causes the monitor fish to fatigue and lose swimming ability unable to fight the current. The relationship between swimming speed and swimming endurance of monitor fish has a significant negative correlation. Where when the swimming speed of the fish increases, the swimming endurance decreases, and if the swimming speed is low, the swimming endurance increases.
