Pengaruh Kecerdasan Interpersonal Dan Altruisme Terhadap Kompetensi Sosial Guru Paud Di Kecamatan Bangko, Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
The task of a teacher is not just one but many, so there needs to be cooperation between students, parents and the environment. While at school, teachers are required to have competence with the aim of providing appropriate stimulus to children. Competence has an important meaning in everyday life. The competencies a person possesses can be a tool for survival amidst intense competition for jobs. It cannot be denied that competence must also be possessed and developed by teachers as capital to educate the nation's next generation to become quality human beings.
Teachers are an important and main factor in the world of education. Because teachers are fully responsible at school for the physical and spiritual development of children. The education or learning process will not run well if teachers are unable to communicate with children. Therefore, teachers must have the ability to communicate with children. Apart from communicating with children, teachers are also required to have the ability to communicate with other teachers, and can even communicate well with parents and the surrounding community. This communication ability is called social competence.
The characteristics of PAUD teachers tend to show cheerfulness, cooperation and total involvement with children's activities, rather than tension and violence. PAUD teachers should be able to establish active communication from the bottom of their hearts so that children are able to feel it, and children are close to them. In such conditions it is easy for teachers to direct and guide children to develop their potential passively.
Social competence is not formed by itself, but through formation and development over a long time and is influenced by several factors.
Teachers' interpersonal skills are very necessary in supporting learning activities in schools, because good communication will facilitate communication between teachers and students, so that this will influence the effectiveness of learning. Then one factor that influences social competence is a feeling of helping others (altruism).
This research raises research problems regarding: 1) Is there an influence of interpersonal intelligence on the social competence of PAUD teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency? 2) Is there an influence of altruism on the social competence of PAUD teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency? And 3) is there an influence of interpersonal intelligence and altruism together on the social competence of PAUD teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency? Then this research aims to analyze; 1) the influence of interpersonal intelligence on the social competence of PAUD teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency; 2) the influence of altruism on the social competence of PAUD teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, and 3) knowing interpersonal intelligence and altruism together on the social competence of PAUD teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency.
This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of research that will be used is ex post facto research. The technique in this research was carried out to analyze the influence of two independent variables, namely interpersonal intelligence (X1), altruism (X2), on one dependent variable, namely optimism (Y). The population in this study were all teachers in Minas District with a total teacher population of 247 teachers, the research sample was 153 teachers in PAUD in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The trial was carried out on 30 school teachers from whom the remaining samples were taken. The data collection technique is in the form of an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Meanwhile, what is used to process and analyze data in this research is research data profile analysis techniques in the form of descriptions, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. This research data was analyzed using the SPSS (statistical package for social science) Version.25 program.
The research results showed a significant influence between interpersonal intelligence on social competence, a significant influence between interpersonal intelligence on social competence, and a significant influence between interpersonal intelligence and altruism together on social competence. The results of this research can be concluded that the better the interpersonal intelligence of PAUD teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, the better the social competence will be, likewise the better the altruism of PAUD teachers in Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, the better the social competence will be, likewise if together. It is hoped that this research will be useful for improving and increasing teachers' interpersonal intelligence and altruism so that the social competence of school teachers will have a real influence on the development of education in schools.
