Community Preference Towards Sea Fish In Tangor Market, Mentangor Village, Kulim District Pekanbaru City, Riau Province
This research was carried out in December 2023 at Tangor Market, Mentangor Village, Kulim District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province with the aim of; 1) Analyze people's preferences for marine fish; 2) Analyzing marine fish; 3) Analyze the relationship between people's preferences for sea fish at Tangor Market. The method used in the research is a survey method using a quantitative approach and the number of respondents in this study was 37 people who bought sea fish. Meanwhile, to answer the aim of the research, the researcher used Likert Scale data analysis to answer the first aim and also the second aim, while to answer the third aim the researcher used Spearman Rank data analysis. The results of the research are the types of marine fish available at the Tangor Market, including tuna (Euthynnus affinis), tuna (Thunnus), layur fish (Trichiurus lepturus), snapper (Lutjanidae), yellowtail fish (Caesio cuning), lemongrass fish (Rastrelliger sp), mackerel fish (Scomberomorus regalis), skipjack fish (Katsuwonus pelamis), sardines (Sardina pilchardus), and grouper fish (Epinephelinae), these marine fish come from outside the Riau area, namely West Sumatra. and North Sumatra. People who buy sea fish predominantly buy lemongrass fish (Rastrelliger sp) at a price of 48,000.00/kg, the number of people who buy lemongrass fish (Rastrelliger sp) is 7 people with a percentage of 18.9% and the number of fish bought is 2 kg/people in one purchase with a percentage of 13.79% and in one month people buy sea fish at Tangor Market 3 to 4 times. Meanwhile, people's preference for sea fish at Tangor Market has a total Likert Scale of 37.3, meaning that people's preference for sea fish at Tangor Market is quite good and sea fish has a total Likert Scale of 59.9, meaning sea fish at Tangor Market is quite good. Meanwhile, the relationship between people's preferences for sea fish at Tangor Market is 0.024, meaning that the level of closeness of the relationship between people's preferences for sea fish is very low because the resulting correlation value is below 0.600, which means the level of closeness of the relationship is strong. Meanwhile, the correlation coefficient sign shows that the relationship is in the same direction and the sig (2-tailed) value is 0.886, meaning that people's preferences for sea fish at Tangor Market are not correlated or not significant because the value is above 0.05.
