Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Materi Peluang Peserta Didik Kelas X.1 SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru
This research aims to improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical problem solving ability by applying Problem Based Learning model. Subjects this research were students of class X.1 SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic year 2022/2023, which amounts to 36 students. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research instrument consists of independent curriculum-based teaching module and instruments to collect data. The independent curriculum-based teaching module consists of several components, namely general information, core components and attachment components. Data collection instruments consists of observation sheets and mathematical problem solving ability tests. Research data was analyzed using narrative descriptive analysis techniques and descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results showed that the implementation of Problem Based Learning has succeeded in improving the learning process and the student’s mathematical problem solving ability.The student’s average score in cycle I which is 77.04, had improved to 91.48 in cycle II. The results of this research show that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical problem solving ability of class X.1 SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic year 2022/2023.
