Pengaruh Konsentrasi Em4 Terhadap Kualitas Pupuk Organik Cair Limbah Jeruk Sebagai Rancangan E-LKPD Bioteknologi Konvensional SMA
This research aims to develop Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD) on conventional biotechnology topics, focusing on the production of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from squeezed orange waste. Conducted from June 2022 to February 2023 at the Soil Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, the resulting E-LKPD can serve as a teaching material for 12th-grade high school students. The production process of POC involves EM4 bioactivator activation, grinding of the main material (squeezed orange waste), and a 14-day anaerobic fermentation. The study indicates that the quality of POC from orange waste, based on EM4 concentration, meets the criteria set by the Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 5 of 2019 for liquid organic fertilizer, except for treatment P0 in the Phosphorus parameter, with a value of 1.32%. The best quality was found in treatments P3 (80 ml) and P4 (90 ml). POC under treatment P3 exhibited the highest nutrient content in terms of Organic Carbon at 11.02% and Nitrogen at 2.70%, while POC under treatment P4 had the best nutrient content for Phosphorus at 3.37% and Potassium at 4.07%. Oranges are highly favored by society, consumed directly or processed into drinks like orange juice, leading to a significant amount of orange waste, particularly the peel, which remains underutilized, contributing to unpleasant environmental odors.
