Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas VII SMPN 3 Sabak Auh
This research aims to improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII students at SMPN 3 Sabak Auh in the material on whole number and fraction operations. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research which consists of planning stages, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The research subjects were class VII students at SMPN 3 Sabak Auh, totaling 34 students with heterogeneous levels of academic ability. The data collected in this research are teacher activity data, student activity data and student mathematics learning outcomes data. Data collection instruments include teacher and student activity observation sheets and student mathematics learning outcomes tests. The research results showed that there was an increase in the number of students who achieved the KKM from the basic score (before action) to cycle I and cycle II. The number of students who achieved KKM in knowledge competency from the basic score was 10 students or 29.41%, increasing to 18 students or 52.94% in cycle I and increasing again to 25 students or 73.52% in cycle II. The number of students who achieved the KKM in skills competency also increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely from 17 students or 50% to 23 students or 67.64%. Thus, it can be said that the actions taken by the researchers have been successful because there has been an improvement in the learning process by applying the Problem Based Learning model, as well as an increase in the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII students at SMPN 3 Sabak Auh in the material on whole number and fraction operations.
