Gambaran Kelelahan Fisik Dan Mental (Burnout) Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Riau
Burnout was a state of emotional, physical and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. Medical students experienced more stress and had more mental health problems compared to non-medical students. Medical students were also at higher risk for burnout. This study aimed to determine the description of physical and mental exhaustion (burnout) in Riau University medical students. This research was a quantitative study with descriptive observational research design. The research sample used was students of the Faculty of Medicine Riau University class of 2020-2022. The sample size was 158 respondents using consecutive sampling technique. Measurement of burnout levels in students was carried out using the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS) questionnaire. The majority of Riau University Faculty of Medicine students experienced moderate burnout (56.3%). Based on the dimensions of burnout, the majority of medical students experienced moderate burnout in the dimensions of emotional exhaustion (68.4%) and reduced personal accomplisment (57.6%) and mild burnout on the depersonalization dimension (61.4%). Respondents aged ≥20 years (58.9%), female respondents (59.8%), and third-year students (65.6%) experienced more moderate burnout.
