The Effect Of Using Quizlet Application In Improving Seventh Grade Students’ Vocabulary Mastery In Descriptive Text At SMPN 8 Dumai
The lack of student interest and participation during teaching and learning activities motivates teachers to utilize technology for students to increase their interest, especially in vocabulary development in English learning. The purpose of this research was to find out whether Quizlet application is effective in improving students' vocabulary. The design of this research was quasi-experimental with a sample size of 45 seventh grade students of SMPN 8 Dumai. Students had a pre-test which was conducted to measure students' prior English vocabulary level. The post-test was conducted after four treatment meetings, where the Quizlet application was used as a learning instrument in English learning. In analyzing the collected data, t-test formula and Mann-Whitney test were used. From the analysis, it was found that the Asym Sig. value was 0.000
