Perancangan Penentuan Cluster Ftth (Fiber To The Home) Di Wilayah Marelan Kota Medan Menggunakan Metode K-Means Clustering
In this digital era, information and communication technology are rapidly advancing. Optical fibers, known for their high speed, large capacity, and minimal interference, serve as the primary solution. Many internet providers opt for FTTH infrastructure, employing GPON technology using optical fibers. PT PLN Icon Plus faces challenges in efficiently placing FAT within their FTTH network. A deep understanding of customers, services, and network infrastructure in the Marelan area is crucial for efficient management. K-Means Clustering is utilized in network design, analyzing FAT occupation, optical fiber cable length, link power budget, and implementation costs in Komplek Marelan Indah. The use of K-Means Clustering provides an advantage by creating a list of prospective customer households for each FAT, streamlining the FTTH network design and installation process and yielding more organized cable drop routes. Overall, based on the analysis results of the Design of FTTH Cluster Determination in the Marelan Area of Medan City Using the K-Means Clustering Method, it is more optimal to use the K-Means Clustering design with a value of K=26 compared to manual design and design using K-Means Clustering with a value of K=13.
