Hubungan Disfagia Dengan Length Of Stay Pada Pasien Stroke Iskemik Yang Dirawat Di Bangsal Saraf RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun2023
Stroke is a clinical manifestation caused by sudden focal or global brain functional impairment that lasts for 24 hours or more. Stroke is classified into 2 types, namely ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. Ischemic stroke is caused by blockage of cerebral arteries. Hemorrhagic stroke is caused by bleeding that causes ischemia. one of the symptoms of ischemic stroke is dysphagia. Ischemic stroke patients with dysphagia cause an increase in LOS. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between dysphagia and LOS in ischemic stroke patients admitted to the Neurological Ward of Arifin Achmad Hospital in 2023. This type of research uses analytical observations with a cross-sectional design conducted in the neurological ward of Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province. The sample used total sampling and bivariate test using Chi-Square. The results of this study from 40 ischemic stroke patients based on age obtained the majority at the age of 51-65 years (47.5%) and male gender (52.5%). Most patients have a history of hypertension (75%) and a history of diabetes mellitus (25%). Most had a non- extended LOS (≤5 days) (60%) and experienced dysphagia (42.5%).
