Hubungan Antara Intravesical Prostatic Protrusion Dengan International Prostate Symptom Score Pada Pasien Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
The severity of the symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) can be measured by Intravesical Prostatic Protrusion (IPP) and the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS). Until now, there has been no research regarding the relationship between IPP and IPSS in Riau. This study aimed to determine the relationship between IPP and IPSS in BPH patients. This research design was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach carried out at the UPTD of the Kampar Kiri Health Center, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, in December 2023. The sample for this study was taken from the medical records of BPH patients recorded at the UPTD of the Kampar Kiri Health Center, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, throughout 2023, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Of the 32 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, it was found that the age range most commonly diagnosed with BPH was 66-75 years in 15 (46.9%) patients. The highest BMI of patients diagnosed with BPH came from the over BMI group, namely 18 (56.3%) patients. The highest degree of IPP in BPH patients was grade I, 25 (78.1%) patients with an average value of 3.57 mm. The frequency distribution of BPH patients based on the highest IPSS score was moderate with 18 patients (56.3%) with an average value of 15.34.
