Indonesian-English Code-Mixing Analysis in “Filosofi Teras” Book by Henry Manampiring

This research analyzed the types of code-mixing used in “Filosofi Teras” book, written by Henry Manampiring based on the theory by Muysken (2000). The researcher chose this book because the writer is a bilingual person, as a result in his literature work, he used code-mixing on purpose to make the reader feel more related to the topic that he wrote. In this research, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive research method. Then, the data collection has been done by the researcher by using a documentary method. The researcher found out that there are 599 code-mixings used in “Filosofi Teras” book. The types of code-mixing used in this book are dominated by insertion with 491 data, then followed by alternation with 67 data, and the last is congruent lexicalization with 41 data.
