Pengaruh Mental Toughness Terhadap Akurasi Shooting Free Throw Atlet Basket Tim Heroes Ladies League Pekanbaru

Every research certainly has aims and objectives, based on the existing problem formulation, the aim to be achieved in this research is to find out whether there is an influence of mental toughness on the free throw shooting accuracy of basketball athletes from the Pekanbaru Heroes Ladies League Team. Data was collected using questionnaires and a free throw shooting test.
In this research, the approach used is quantitative correlation because the data collected and measured directly is expressed in numbers to find out how much influence the mental toughness variable (X) has on the free throw shooting accuracy variable (Y). This research was conducted at the Basketball Court located at Jl. Manggis No.7, Wonorejo, Marpoyan Damai, Pekanbaru on September 14 2023. The sample in this study were basketball athletes from the Pekanbaru Heroes Ladies League Team, totaling 20 athletes, where the sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used in this research is simple linear regression analysis.
Based on the results and discussion using simple linear regression analysis using the product moment correlation test, it was concluded that there was a positive relationship between mental toughness and free throw shooting accuracy of basketball athletes from the Pekanbaru Heroes Ladies League Team. This is proven by a significant value of 0.014 < 0.05 and can also be proven by a calculated r value of 0.540 > r table 0.423 which can be interpreted that the influence between mental toughness and free throw shooting accuracy has a fairly strong correlation. It can be interpreted that the higher the level of mental toughness an athlete has, the better the athlete's level of accuracy because he can control emotions even under various kinds of pressure in the competition.
