Persepsi Mahasiswa Tentang Penggunaan Logbook Dalam Monitoring Pembelajaran Pada Kepaniteraan Come FK Unri

The COME FK Unri Clerkship is a clinical clerkship carried out outside urban areas or in remote areas. One of the monitoring methods applied in learning at the COME Clerkship is to use a logbook so that students can record all learning activities that have been carried out. The aim of this research is to determine student perceptions regarding the use of logbooks in monitoring learning. This research uses a mixed method of quantitative and qualitative methods with a convergent parallel design. The sample for this research was students from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Riau who had taken part in the COME Clerkship in the period May to June 2023, October to November 2023, and November to December 2023. The results of the research showed that students' perceptions about monitoring learning through the use of logbooks were generally in the good and medium categories with the input aspect as the best aspect in the COME Clerkship. The main obstacle to using logbooks is related to insufficient number of logbook pages. The benefits of using logbook are mainly as notes and evidence of student activities. The main advantage of using logbook is that it does not require an internet network to fill it out. The main disadvantage of using logbook is that it is vulnerable to loss or damage. Suggestions regarding the use of logbooks relate to changing the format of logbooks and replacing the use of paper-based logbooks with electronic logbooks.
