Gambaran Kasus Keloid Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2019 – 2023
Keloid is a fibroproliferative tissue disorder of the skin that extends beyond the original wound boundary caused by impaired healing of injured or inflamed skin. Keloids present with symptoms such as burning, itching, intermittent pain, and a pulling sensation. These symptoms can affect and interfere with the quality of life of keloid patients, both physically and psychologically. This study is a retrospective descriptive study with data obtained from medical record data conducted from April to May 2024. This study included keloid patients at Arifin Achmad Hospital in the period January 2019-December 2023. Samples were taken with total sampling technique and obtained a sample of 66 medical record data. Results of the study showed that many keloid cases occurred in 2019 (24.24%). Most keloid patients in the age group 17-25 years (34.85%), comparable in both sexes (50.00%), and work as students (33.33%). The location of keloid appearance was mostly in the chest area (21.21%) with the most common cause appearing due to surgery (21.21%), and without comorbidities. The most common management given was monotherapy.
