Pelaksanaan Fungsi Keluarga Di Rw 06 Kelurahan Talang Mandi Kecamatan Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis (Studi Kasus Wanita Single Parent)

This research was conducted in RW 06, Talang Mandi Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency, which aims to determine the role of single parent women in carrying out family functions and the factors that support and hinder the role of single parent women in carrying out family functions. In determining research subjects using criteria determined by the researcher or what is called a purposive sampling technique. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The number of research subjects was 5 people. The theory used is Structural Functional Theory. The results of this research are that there are several functions carried out by single parent women, namely the socialization function, affection function, protection function and economic function. However, in this affection function, single parent women are still constrained in dividing their time in paying attention to their children so that it does not work fully. The family's economic function does not function fully. This is because single parent women are still unable to fully meet the needs of a large family and there are obstacles in their work such as slow sales and reduced income. The supporting factor for single parent women is the existence of economic assistance obtained from the family so that they can help fulfill their needs. Assistance can be in the form of money, energy, and others. The inhibiting factor is when single parent women cannot fulfill their needs because of their low income.
