Interaksi Sosial Remaja Dalam Mengikuti Silat Pangean Laman Batang Hari Di Desa Pulau Jum’at Kecamatan Kuala Cenaku Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu
This research aims to investigate the practice of Silat Pangean as a result of complex social interactions and individual motivations therein. By using the theoretical framework of social interaction, symbolic interactionism, and motivation theory, this research tries to understand the dynamics that influence individual participation in martial arts practice. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation and document analysis. The research results show that the practice of Silat Pangean is reflected in social interactions involving the environment, symbols and social structures in the community. An individual's motivation to engage in these practices can, to a large extent, be understood through Maslow's hierarchy of needs, which ranges from physiological need satisfaction to self-actualization. In its conclusion, this research emphasizes the importance of understanding the complexity of social interactions and individual motivations in specific cultural contexts, such as Silat Pangean, to strengthen and improve the practice of these martial arts and support sustainable community development.
