Batik is one of the writing crafts that is painted with the beauty of motifs and patterns that make it a typical fabric of the archipelago. The development of batik is not only known in the people of the island of Java but in other areas it has developed batik characterized by the regional culture. One of them is Kuantan Singingi Regency which is located in Riau with cultural values and cultural traditions such as runway motifs, takuluak barembai, beganduang boats, traditional houses, and other motifs. This research intends to explain the social capital of the Joint Business Group (KUB) of Batik Tulis Anak Kuantan craftsmen in Kampung Baru Village, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. As for the purpose that is explained to know how the elements of social capital and obstacles possessed by the KUB of Batik Tulis Anak Kuantan craftsmen in the sustainability of business development. Research that uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 5 people who played an active role as craftsmen. While the theory used is the social capital theory proposed by Putnam. The results of the research identified elements of the social capital of KUB Batik Tulis Anak Kuantan, namely networks, norms and beliefs, as well as identifying obstacles in the sustainability of its business.
