The mangrove ecosystem is one of the ecosystems that is characterized by high diversity in associations such as lokan clam. Lokan clams are filter feeders and suspension feeders that live on the bottom of the water by immersing themselves in the sediment. This study aims to determine the biological aspects of lokan clam (morphometrics, density, distribution, and growth), the ecological aspects (the structure of mangrove vegetation, parameters of the aquatic environment) and the relationship between mangrove density and the density of lokan clam in Buruk Bakul Village, Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. This research was conducted in August–September 2023 using a survey method. The method used for sampling is the transect method by taking and observing samples 3 times in a 2-week interval. The location of sample collection and observation was divided into 3 observation stations. The results showed that the morphometric size of lokan mussels varied.
