Strategi Melestarikan Kearifan Lokal Maawuo Di Danau Bakuok Desa Aur Sati Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar
This study aims to describe the implementation of the maawuo ritual activities carried out at Bakuok Lake, Aur Sati Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. Maawuo is a tradition of catching fish together using nets which is carried out once a year by the community. The method used is a survey method with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the implementation of maawuo consists of the preparation, opening, implementation, distribution of results, and closing stages. Maawuo reflects the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, environmental preservation, and religion that are highly respected by the people of Aur Sati Village. Based on the SWOT analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the preservation of local wisdom of maawuo at Bakuok Lake, Aur Sati Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency requires a comprehensive strategy and involves various parties. The Strength-Opportunity (SO) strategy builds strong collaboration between local governments, tourism agencies, or traditional institutions to preserve and develop Maauwo as a leading ecotourism destination by providing attractive ecotourism packages such as service providers or homestay managers to provide authentic experiences to tourists.
