In the Tapah fish farming business in the Buluh China Village requires motivation to increase the production of fish farming both intrinsic and extrinsic. This study aims to determine the existing conditions of Tapah fish farming business, analyze the intrinsic motivation of Tapah fish farmers and analyze the extrinsic motivation of Tapah fish farmers in Buluh China Village. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach while the determination of informants in this study was carried out by nonprobability sampling, namely by consideration of the criteria to meet certain objectives. Informants in this study amounted to 10 Tapah fish farmers. The results of this study are : 1). The motivation level of floating net cage cultivators in Chinese Reed villages is mostly in the high category. 2). intrinsic motivation is divided into volitional with indicators of satisfaction of needs, development of abilities. Spirit with indicators of capital, income and marketing production. Zeal with indicators of capital, income, marketing production. 3). extrinsic motivation is divided into rewards with indicators of experience, respect, status and achievements. Income by indicators of needs and secondary, and tertiary needs. Market opportunities with indicators of access roads, and demand. In Tapah fish farming, counseling is needed about aquaculture to increase business Independence.
