Eksplorasi Penggunaan Hidrogen Peroksida Sebagai Alternatif Pengganti Asam Kromat Untuk Pencucian Spinneret
Exploration of hydrogen peroxide utilization as an alternative to chromic acid for spinneret cleaning. The purpose of this research is to determine the feasibility of hydrogen peroxide as an alternative to chromic acid for spinneret cleaning. Spinneret cleaning begins with microscope inspection. The subsequent step involves immersing the spinneret in NaOH at room temperature (20-25 °C) for 10 minutes gradually three times, followed by immersion in each cleaning solution at room temperature (20-25 °C) except for H2SO4 at 60-65 °C for 45 minutes gradually three times. Spinneret cleanliness is confirmed by re-checking using a microscope. Cleaning solution testing for spinneret cleaning includes H2O2, H2CrO4, H2O2 + surfactant, and H2SO4. The results of spinneret cleaning using the cleaning solution indicate that the combination of H2O2 + surfactant is the best and most stable solution for spinneret cleaning, considering several factors compared to chromic acid. Industrial-scale testing results show that the performance of the combination solution of hydrogen peroxide and surfactant will decrease for continuous use. However, it can increase and become optimal when heated.
