Pengaruh Penambahan Asam Asetat Dalam Penentuan Kadar Nilai Zat Ekstraktif Pada Pulp
Extractive substances are non-polymeric organic materials that can be separated by dissolving in neutral solvents such as ether, alcohol benzene, acetone, water or water vapor through the extraction process. However, in the extraction process there is still extractive substance content that is still insoluble by solvents, thus it is necessary to determine the level of extractive substance value with the addition of acetic acid. This study was conducted to analyze and determine the effect of the addition of acetic acid in determining the value of extractive substances in pulp. In determining the level of extractive substance value in pulp using variables with the addition of acetic acid and without the addition of acetic acid. The results obtained from this study are that pulp added with acetic acid has a higher acetone extractive value than without the addition of acetic acid, which is 0.23% with a pH of 2.44. The extractive value has a factory standard that is kept below 0.3%. This shows that the acetone extractive value obtained is still within the standard that has been set.
