Kaji Komputasional Pengaruh Jumlah Step Hull Pada Prototype Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak Jenis Katamaran
The national unmanned fast boat contest (KKCTBN) is one of the competitions organized by DIKTI to develop knowledge in the field of shipping to improve the quality and quality of the Indonesian maritime world. The catamaran ship is a ship with a multihull so that, where the two hulls are connected by a strong deck construction and stretch over it to withstand bending moments and shear forces that are large and work against the center line of the ship. Step hull is a hull modification that has one or more stairs or at the bottom of the ship. This research was conducted to compare the use of Step hull on catamaran ships by varying the number and angle of Stephull. In carrying out this research the author uses Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulation. The research was conducted by analyzing the resistance, Lift force and seakeeping of the ship. The speed variations used were 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20 knots. The smallest drag was found in the variation of ship 3 step hull with an angle of 180 ° with a decrease in drag value of 9,27% of the ship without a step hull. The use of the step hull causes a decrease in the lifting force of the ship, the lifting force decreased by 66.73% in the variation of the ship 3 Step hull with an angle of 120 °. For seakeeping, the value decreases as the number of step hulls increases.
