Pengaruh Hambatan Samping Terhadap Biaya Operasional Kendaraan (Studi Kasus: Depan Pasar Simpang Baru)
Pasar Simpang Baru is one of the traditional markets located on HR Soebrantas road in Pekanbaru city. Market activities such as people entering/exiting the market area and stopping vehicles can disrupt the speed of other drivers. Besides that, people's vehicles that park on the side of the road can reduce the road capacity. That side friction can affect road performance and vehicle operating costs (VOC). So it is necessary to analyze road performance and vehicle operating costs in existing conditions and without side friction conditions. Then it is important to know how much influence the side friction on VOC. Road performance analysis based on MKJI 1997 guidelines. VOC is calculated using the Department of Public Works method with Pd T-15-2005-B guideline. Meanwhile, to determine the effect of side friction on VOC, its obtained from simple linear regression analysis. The highest side friction occurred on Tuesday westbound at 744.3 event. the highest traffic volume is about 2014.6 pcu/hour with 0.732 degree of saturation (level of service C) and VOC for light vehicles is Rp. 1,662,22 per km; VOC for heavy vehicles is Rp. 2.384,86 per km; and VOC for motorcycles is Rp. 362,41 per km. But after the removal the side friction, the degree of saturation changed into 0.593, including the level of service A, then VOC of light vehicles to Rp. 1.423,60 per km, the VOC of heavy vehicles to Rp. 2.260.13 per km; and the VOC of motorcycles to Rp. 319,24 per km. Analysis for 2 days shows that the influence of side friction on light vehicles VOC is 50,5%. the influence of side friction on heavy vehicles VOC is 38,1%. And the influence of side friction on motorcycle VOC is 57,7%
