The current condition of the fish market in Sibolga City is not well maintained. This is proven by the market conditions being dirty, muddy, smelly and a lot of damage. This happens because the sanitation and market waste processing systems are poor and do not meet standards. The fish market is not yet suitable for facilitating fish marketing activities, because there is no mapping of special zones between activities. All activities occur in one space without any special separation. Supporting facilities in the form of parking are also not available due to limited land. If left untreated it will cause environmental problems. This condition has resulted in a decrease in consumer interest in buying and visiting fish market. Therefore, a platform in the form of a Modern Fish Market is needed as a solution to this problem. The Modern Fish Market functions as a means of educational and recreational fisheries economic activities. The fish trading center aims to concentrate activities in a fish market that is clean, comfortable, hygienic and with a good sanitation system. Apart from that, the fish market also has marine tourism potential for tourists. Fish Market was designed with a Biophilic Architecture approach. The use of the Biophilic Architecture theme is in accordance with the ecological goals of the Fish Market as a solution to environmental problems.
