Motivasi Orang Tua Menyekolahkan Anak Di Sd Babussalam Pekanbaru

This research discusses the motivation of parents to send their children to SD Babussalam Pekanbaru. This research aims to determine the background and motivations of parents to send their children to SD Babussalam. The research method was carried out descriptive qualitatively with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. In this study there were six research subjects who were parents who sent their children to Babussalam Elementary School who were obtained through accidental sampling techniques. The results of field research show that parents' motivation to send their children to Babussalam Elementary School is based on family background such as family educational history, social environment and family economic status. Apart from that, intrinsic and extrinsic motivations such as religious values, changes in children's behavior, school distance, teacher quality, school curriculum and completeness of school infrastructure are also considerations that motivate parents to send their children to SD Babussalam Pekanbaru
