Analisis Probabilitas Keberadaan Dan Nilai Ekspektasi Partikel Dalam Kotak 3-D Pada Keadaan Degenerasi Menggunakan Integrasi Romberg
Probability and expectation values play a significant role in explaining the existence and behavior of particles, such as electrons. This research aims to analyze the probability and expectation values of particles in a 3-D box in the case of degeneracy using the Romberg integration method. By focusing on the variation of principal quantum numbers ( and ) and different widths of the potential box , the study identifies patterns of probability distribution and stability of expectation values in the system. The research method employs Romberg integration with the assistance of Python to calculate the probability and expectation values of particles in a 3-D box. The results of the study indicate that this method is effective in producing integral estimates close to the actual values with a relatively small number of function evaluations. In the case of degeneracy, 3-D graphs show overlapping surfaces at the same energy levels, indicating the possible presence of particles in multiple regions within the box. The analysis also shows that the particle wave patterns are influenced by the quantum numbers and the dimensions of the box, with an increase in the complexity of wave patterns as the quantum numbers increase. With a very small error rate, the Romberg method is able to provide stable probability estimates that are close to the analytical solutions, affirming its reliability in solving complex integral problems.
