(Dinas Perkebunan Indragiri Hilir 2018). Such a situation won't be free of a client patron relationship, because, this research is aimed at 1. Analysing the pattern of the relationship between coconut farmers and coconut tauke. The research was carried out in Indragiri Hilir district, in Batang Tuaka district in the River Village of Piring. The research method used is the survey method with simple purposive sampling. The total sample used in this study is 30 people and 2 tauke. The results of the research showed that the pattern of relationship between coconut farmers and tauke in the River Village of Plating, Batang Tuaka has been quite good. There are four patterns of relationship between a coconut farmer and a tauke: cooperation, reciprocity, loyalty and personality. The relationship between coconut farmers and coconut tauke is a mutually beneficial relationship, because the two sides have the same purpose in establishing this relationship. Relations that occur like social relations, cooperative relations, debt bonds and mutual relations. The relationship pattern that has the highest score is the cooperative relationship and loyalty relationship, due to both patterns of the relationship are embedded as a form of farmers' trust with the tauke.
