Street vendors (PKL) are one of the most popular ways to improve the standard of living in Indonesia. The phenomenon of street vendors in general is a social phenomenon, which has several characteristics, such as being located incompatible with its designation, without a business licence, and tends to be very ignorant of the law. Putting aside the fact that street vendors are not only profitable but also cause new problems. Ideally, street vendors should sell in special areas or places that have been designated for them to help them sell safely and avoid things that are potentially dangerous to people and goods, thus creating public order. Based on the above background, the main problem in writing this thesis How is the implementation of street vendors in Pekanbaru city, What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of street vendors in Pekanbaru city, as well as supervision efforts so that street vendors are orderly in trading. The research method in writing this thesis using empirical or sociological juridical research methods is used. This method focuses on observing the effectiveness of the law because it relates the law to achieving goals and fulfilling basic community needs and uses interviews as the main data collection tool, while from the nature of this research is descriptive, which is located in Pekanbaru City and street vendors who sell around Jalan Patimura.
